Put the onions in a pan large enough to add the rest of the ingredients later with 1 tbs of olive oil or cooking oil you prefer.Cook the onions until translucent.

Add the garlic to the pan and cook for a few minutes until fragrant.
Add all the spices (salt/pepper too) to the pan and stir together.
Add the tomato sauce and tomato paste to the pan and stir to combine.
Bring to a simmer and simmer for 15 to 30 minutes.
