Apple Butter Pie
If you like apple butter I think you'll like this pie too!
- 3/4 cup apple butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14oz
- 1 pie shell I use a store bought frozen one for convenience
Combine the apple butter, beaten eggs (no shells!) and sweetened condensed milk in a bowl and mix well.
Pour into the pie shell. To avoid any spills I put the pie shell on a cookie sheet or pizza pan. Much easier to put it in the oven this way and take it out.
Carefully put the pie in a 350 degree preheated oven on the middle rack. Bake for about 45 minutes. Center will jiggle when it's done and the top will have browned a little. Let cool and enjoy!
If for some reason this pie isn't sweet enough for you try using 1/2 cup apple butter and 1/4 cup sugar instead of using 3/4 cup of apple butter.
Between the sweetness of the apple butter and the sweetened condensed milk I don't expect this to be needed ever but the apple butter I used does have sugar added to it when it's made.
