If I use milk I most always use whole milk. Many years ago I would use low fat or skim milk. Can’t say it kept me thin and I prefer whole milk with cereal. I still eat cereal sometimes. Can’t help it. Fell in love with it as a kid.
Here’s something I bet most people don’t notice about 2%, 1% and skim milk. The ingredients. They have vitamin A added. I have no idea where they get the vitamin A and my understanding is vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin so to me it would seem you need some fat to absorb it.
There are sometimes that a lighter milk is useful with cooking. For example making instant chocolate pudding. It actually has a stronger chocolate taste. I still usually use whole milk but I use this: A lighter and lower calorie whole milk
